I’m taking this class because I’m interested in archives and I just find Digital History interesting in and of itself.
Digital History is the application of digital tools in relation to the analysis and presentation of historical research. Digital Humanities is the application of technology within humanities. The main difference between the two is the fact that Digital History focuses primarily on history and research, showcasing the information found in a accessible and interactive way (i.e. interactive map, timeline) while Digital Humanities is an interdisciplinary field that focuses on producing new and innovative digital tools that can be applied to all branches within humanities.
